Pairing a device is an unofficial connection. It drives an ordinary WhatsApp account rather than a sanctioned API, which WhatsApp's terms do not permit for automated sending. A number used this way can be restricted or permanently banned, with no appeal and no warning — and the risk rises with volume, with messaging people who have not opted in, and with new numbers.
Use a number you can afford to lose, keep to people who asked to hear from you, and honour opt-outs. If you need a supported route with no ban risk of this kind, use the official Business API instead — talk to us about getting set up.
